  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Swinden Key Question

Question concerning the Swinden Key:

What (if any) Old Timer knives had it?

Did any of the Ulster knives have it?
(My Ulster Number 10 Barlow, and Ulster "Official" BSA Scout knife don't have it.)

I don't know about the Ulsters. Schrade started using Swinden construction about the same time as Delrin, 1960-1962ish. None of the lockbacks have it. The large and small 'hunters' (123OT, 125Ot, 225OT, 25OT) have the blades pinned and the cap end Swinden. As far as I know, all other Schrade folders were Swinden fore and aft. The exception would be a few Schrades which were farmed out to Camillus and maybe Imperial. If Eric shows up he will have more exact information.
