Swing Guards

Ive seen this style of knife for a long time but never knew much about them or any pros and cons about the model. If any of you guys could fill me in on your experiences and maybe recommend a quality one Im looking for a new knife.

Here's a review I wrote a while back comparing the AG Russell Swing Guard and one from Canal Street Cutlery. In the meantime I've purchased another from AG Russell -it's as good as the first - and one from Case that falls between the AG Russell and Canal Street Models.

I like and collect the pattern.They are cool looking and work well also.Best are the 70's and earlier era Case knives.The new ones are good,but don't have the old saber grind.Or quite the same quality.
