Swingblades/Funny folders opinions?

I would just really like to know what you guys think of these knives, they are a type of folding knives but called swingblades and they look awesome. Smith & Wesson used to make these back in the old days I think.

Why aren't they a thing today? Do you think it would be cool if they were made again?

A.G.Russell sells a variant but it doesn't seem nicer than the old S&W models (of which I own 2).

A pretty one would make a nice office knife. The way it works doesn't give you any practical advantages over other, more common, designs. I'd get one just for the novelty value.
