This is my first FSH, I've never held one until yesterday, I likey!! I imagined it to be bigger though, hehe .. I guess I'm used to the FBMs.

nice set up there. I really like the Nuke EDC's but am not crazy about the frosted/double cut patterns on blades. Nice rifle too, but I thought you Canadians were not allowed to have any guns, eh? Or maybe it was no handguns?

We can have it all (still)... in a strange twist of events we can own Swiss Arms rifles and you guys can't !?

Sweet!

Love the 551:thumbup:

Been looking at the Sig 556's that we can get here...I'm still not sure though. I may sell my Colt AR and get one.

Sell your AR and get the Sig. I have a Sig 556, Robinson Arms XCR, Daewoo DR200, AR180 and a mess of AR15s. The AR15 is at the bottom of the list in my opinion. I'll get flamed for that no doubt, but that's my preference.

Thanks guys.. the sig is a bit of a show stealer for sure :D It's considered to be the finest carbine on the market. If it's good enough for the GSG-9 it's good enough for me haha :D

I think the FSH will be a safe queen, but I'll definitely report on the sig when I pop her.

If it is full auto, I could not have it in Washington. Too bad they won't let us have full autos here any more (maybe I will have to move to a state that allows). But I can carry concealed pistols, or rifles here So I guess it is a trade off. I could only buy one if it was semi-auto.

HogBrother ... that would be a good decision.

I know, that's being somewhat unAmerican. But, as both a scientist and a vet, perhaps folks will let me get by this time.

The Sig's just a better rifle.

As an AR owner (Bushmaster). I would not flame you. I like it, but as a battle rifle there are improvements to be made. The biggest is the direct gas action. Why that has not been changed decades ago is beyond me. There is absolutely no up side to it (it might be a bit faster in cyclic rate, but that is a bad trade off for heat and carbon fouling).

I think it is funny that the newest models that cost more are going back to a gas piston. I would love to convert mine over.

As mine just busts rock chucks and cans etc, I guess I can't really complain, but when you empty a 40 mag it sure does get hot in the action.

The AR can be a very accurate platform for distance shooting, which does make it good for long range (at least as far as that little .223 carries).

You have two nice pieces there. I have the Sig 556, but that 551 is sweet! I ended up getting a sarsquatch, EDC and a jackhammer, and unfortunately, he hawed around on the FSH and didn't get one, now I'm kicking myself in the arese for it. Have you had a chance to check out the microtech STG556 or the FN2000? Those are sweet too. I had a steyr Aug a while back and I really like my Microtech even better gave me a heck a group on the money the first time out, along with Forward Assist and bolt hold back. The limited edition set up is sweet.. . Not sure what my thoughts are on the FN2000 yet, its' different, and takes some getting use to. Oh well, excellent weapons. Sig's and Busse's; you can't go wrong. Perfection in both areas!

Not to take this thread too far off topic. But, if you are looking at the Sig 556, then you may do well to check out the P.O.F. 415. It is setup very much like the H&K 416 (Gas Piston) for about 1/4 the cost. The components make it a winner in my opinion, I'll take a Mike Rock barrel and a Timney trigger on a "Factory" gun any day. I've shot the H&K, and if I had the cash, I'd own several! Did I mention you don't have to clean it?!?!? Of course you do need to keep the fouling out of the barrel, and with a Mike Rock barrel that is pretty easy. So if you're rich- H&K, not so much- P.O.F. ;)

Sadly, I've been skipping Busse purchases to fund one for myself. Two more months and I should have it... Then, I'm back at the Trough!
