I will choose a Buck 110 every day. There are several variations with different steels, handles, etc. You can order a custom model that is made EXACTLY how you choose. Just my humble opinion.
The Buck 110 is quite cheaper than the Vic Evoke. Also the 1.4119 blade steel is quite "meh" for the price of the knife. Most of the value is in the Alox scales, it seems.
I voted Buck as I'm a big 110 fan and collector...... but I do like the evokes. theyre not perfect. pocket clips are terrible design and they're kinda high pricey for what ya get, other than the labor costs of made in Switzerland.... but I still like them.
I’m a big Victorinox fan, but the 110 dominates this one.
The evoke looks so generically shaped and designed, if it weren’t for the Swiss cross I would think it’s a gas station folder.
The 110 is just a great classic folding knife that’s become timeless. Beautifully designed and made, feels great in your hand, and is half the price of the Vic.
The 110 will always have a soft spot with me. I grew up watching dad use his, and I got mine with birthday money when I was 11 or 12 before a Boy Scout trip. I’ve had that very same 110 ever since. To this day it still lives in my truck.
