As a side note, SAK's are the only knives that are presented to each of our US Presidents since way back when....

Thanks for posting that. I've always been in awe of how many units Vicotorinox can turn out with such a low rate of defects. Totally state of the art production and great QA. I guess that's why I can buy a SAK recruit in Maryland, or fly knife less to Oregon and buy a SAK at the Walmart there, and it will be identical to the other SAK's I own. Plus sharp out of the box.

Victorinox should be the business model of all the other knife companies.

Interesting point about US Presidents. Do you know which presidents, which models of knife or any other details?

Being honest - I haven´t watched the vid, yet :o
Maybe tomorrow.

But to Carl´s post up there, I remember Mr. Chris Reeve himself saying in an interview in a german knife magazine that his personal favorite model of running a cutlery is Victorinox due to their automated production and the lack of production flaws.

This is a big compliment, indeed!

President Lyndon Johnson was very fond of handing out the classic to visitors. Black with the President's seal on it.

I watched the vid now. It was a great one. All the equipment needs to be found in the whole world. Just awesome. When I look at the Vic Huntsman my dad bought me at vacation in CH about 23 years ago. When I was eight years old. The very same F&F after all those years of use, during my childhood and youth.

Just a great company. I almost made my experience with their Warranty Departement about five or six years ago. All was perfect, including a hand written letter with Mr. Elsener himself (which I stored due to sentimentality).

Thanks for posting this great vid & great entertainment!

I enjoyed watching this video as well. It's interesting and amazing how many SAK's they produce each day and year. Makes me wish I could buy more :D
