A forum member recently posted a
photo of a Victorinox swiss army
knife with wooden scales.

I emailed him about it; but other than
verifying its authenticity, he could provide
no details.

I have searched the Victorinox web site with
no results. Have emailed the company; no response.

So now I turn to the experts.

Clearly, Victorinox made/makes such a knife.

Can anyone tell me how one can be obtained?

Thanks....

I think they're discontinued or non USA imported models. I see them on ebay every now and then. You might try one of the European dealers like swiss-knife.com or pizini.at

My father-in-law purchased one at a knife store in Lucerne last year, had Hazelnut handles, was a special limited edition. Here is their website address:
http://www.webers-world.com/

Click on their online shop and then click "Webers Only"

Also click on "Swiss Army Knives", then "Special Editions", if you scroll down they show one that looks like wood handles, as well as horn, stag, and a MOP.

I have emailed this store and always got a response back from them within a few days. They can give you a price and I think they have to add in VAT (value added tax??) so it could get expensive.

Wow! Cool site. They have a bunch of SAKs I've never even seen before. Thanks for the info. goebar.

We have in stock VN 53009 Rosewood Classic. NIB sells for 37.50 Sorry but I do not think we have a pic on site. Same as red handled classic(including toothpick & tweezer). The logo appears to be 'painted' on the rosewood. If interested in this, you can call us toll free to order. Regards, Mike
