After looking at this rucksack I just had to have it. I plan on using it as a winter bushcraft pack for quick overnights in the local mountains. Its heavy but built like a tank. I also got the Swiss Breadbag to go with it. It is a stand alone dayhike kit or attaches on top of the rucksack for lunch or other stuff. The whole thing shipped to my house was $50.00 and looks like new. I am going to have alot of fun with this one.

It even has the name of the Swedish soldier who it was issued to...pretty cool

Yup. I had one of those or something one size bigger, exact same build anyway. I think that I sold it at a garage sale because it was just too heavy for my delicate little girly bod.

I love mine - I will say this, some extra padding on the shoulder straps helps a bit - though lately I haven't noticed since we got into jacket weather.

I just spent at least an hour searching everywhere for one of these packs.. Called three local Army surplus stores with no luck.. It would be perfect for my kayaking trips.. If anyone knows where I can locate one that would be great.. Thanks.CD
