I'm completely new to this...got fascinated by Swiss knives only recently....would like to know..how does one lubricate the damn things..is there anything special that one can use?

I assume you mean Swiss Army knives. As far as care, simply wash out in clean water and dry thorouhly and lubricate with any good quality light lubricant like Tuf-glide or Militech or Breakfree and wipe off any excess lubricant.
