Swiss made nazi daggers?

Some time ago,(I did an archive search) there was a thread that referenced a Swiss company that made reproductions of the Nazi SS dagger that did not have the nazi markings on it and it had some kind of unique name...something like "peoples knife" or something like that.
Does anyone here have the thread for that Swiss company? As I
remember I thought the thread also showed a picture of the dagger too.

:confused:

Hi Muzzleup,
That was me that started that thread about the Holbein dagger, and Hugh Fuller who pointed me towards Lutel.

http://www.lutel.cz

(wouldn't let me post the pic, I'll do it in another post.)

Haven't ordered one of these yet, but I've heard many good things about Lutel and it should be a very good quality dagger.
HTH!

Thanks Ken, there is one that looks just like the SS dagger but I think that there is also a Swiss company someplace that makes new ones too. Your thread will do just fine, thanks again.

:D

Hmm... I remember that thread, but I'm trying to think... I'm not sure if a Swiss company was mentioned that made modern versions. The Swiss did make the original Holbein daggers, but that was like 500 years ago.

{long pause for thinking}

Ah! I remember posting a link to a Museum Replicas knife called the "Swiss Dagger". It's a Holbein dagger that was copied by the Nazis. Maybe that's it?

Unfortunately, you can't link directly to it, but it's four pages into the "Daggers" section at: http://store.museumreplicas.com/cgi-bin/www11650.storefront

It's a cool knife, but one thing I've noticed about reproductions is that they usually don't have the "Dance of Death" sheath that made the originals so interesting.
