Someone tried selling me a “Swiss Powder” Damascus folder as authentic dama. I know my metals pretty well but I had never heard of “Swiss Powder” so I figured I’d ask the more experienced members of this community before making any decisions. Definitely appreciate all the advice, going to tell the dude trying to sell me to go kick rocks!

OK. “Damascus”/“Damascus-like” steel from AliExpress/AliBaba (the global HQ of fakes, knockoffs, copies and counterfeits) for $150. Cool! What could possibly go wrong?

It wasn’t AliExpress where I seen the product. It was in a knife trading group on FB so I didn’t know for sure what it was which is why I turned to this forum. Would never buy anything from AliExpress lol
