I got around to trying out my new Swiss Volcano Stove today. Here's a teaser pic and a link. Check out the full report over in the Becker forum. Since I used a Becker BK-7, I posted up the full photo essay over there. Just figured some interested folks over here might miss it otherwise...

Thanks, I would have missed it because I never check out the becker forum.

You're missing out on some pretty good antics. :D
Glad you saw the report. The stove kit is well worth checking out.

I tried the Swiss Volcano with a Trangia stove today. Worked great! For a report, check out page two of the post linked above.
One more note: If you own a Becker knife, check out my White Box Stove giveaway in the Becker forum. Open to any and all Becker owners.

Great thread! I'm now ordering a few Swiss Volcano stoves just to play around with and to have for backups (at that price, how could you not??). Glad you shared this here; makes me wonder how much other stuff I'm missing out on by not looking in all the other sub-forums!

About 4" at its widest point (the handle).

I find good gear tips in a number of the outdoor oriented fixed blade forums like Becker, Horton, Busse, and ESEE. Certainly worth a look now and then.

I paid $19 for my Volcano stove several years ago.
It was a good buy at that price. Will definitely buy a second if I find it for $10.

Probably at least three hollers. Maybe more.
