Every now and again, I pull my Victorinox Swisschamp out of the knife drawer. I am drawn to the multitude of goodies that inhabit such a small area. Plier multi-tools are indeed a bit tougher in the high torque areana, but I have seldom found as nice a pair of scissors, or other "fine" tools as on the Swisschamp. I have decided I need to start carrying this often overlooked darling.

So, my question is, has anyone had a Kydex or Concealex rig made especially for their Swisschamps? I thought one with the minimalist approach taken, would fit descretly on a 1 inch leather belt. And, if the rig could be made to fit horizontally, it would nearly disappear, and would be less likely to snag.

I know Mike at River City Sheaths could make one, as well as others. However, my intent is to get some feedback from you knowledgable folks as to the best design possibilities out there.

Thanks!

Sounds like a good idea. With all of the multi-tools I own, attempting to replace my Saks, I still end up going back to the SAK.
My largest model is an older Champion, and it has most anything I want except the pliers. There is just something about the size and ergonomics of the SAK that you cant replace. I think this could be a very good way to carry such a knife.

That does sound like a darn good idea. Anyone ask Normark?

The Ranger has pretty much everything but the pliers, magnifying glass, fish scaler, and eyeglass screwdriver (you could put one in the corkscrew if you wanted, though). I find it a much more convenient size than the Champ.
Yes, I would also love to see Kydex for SAKs. In the long run, maybe we could even convince Victorinox to provide some...

Heys Guys...

Ask and Yee shall receive!..:)

Pictured above is the Wenger Tool Chest, Leatherman Wave, Victorinox Swiss Champ, each in its own rig...

Each rig is a Horizontal carry,, but will also do vertical carry...The horizontal carry is probably the best way to carry this knife,,as it brings it up out of the way,,keeping everything at the belt line...

I wore my Swisschamp all day yesterday,,and it was very comfortable, almost to the point of forgetting it was there...

Wire Edge..

Thank you very much for all of your help in figuring out which models were which, you seem up on the trivia,,which is always good to know..

Thanks..

Any questions,,drop me a note Anytime..

Hey, this looks great!

Finally a way to carry my favorite SAK. Normark and myself have traded e-mails for the last five days working on this pet project of mine. I am happy with the results. Normark is a great guy to talk to.

I didn't realize the Tool Chest was so much bigger than the already big Swisschamp!!! My goodness.

:D :D
