I have noticed that if you lock open the plain blade and serrated blade at the same time you will have a double edge knife that is very fast in the hand due to the heavy handle and light blades.I have tryed or own most of the multi tools and now this is my EDC in a multi tool.My Gunting is still my EDC knife.

You could also pinch the BG with the pliers or in a worst case situation use them as a "nut crusher". Also if the BG is wearing glasses you could use the little screw driver to unscrew the arm on his glasses, making them fall off and blind him. OR you could just toss the whole ten ounce tool at him as a distraction and run like hell, that just may be your best bet. But you could use the saw blade to cut down a sapling to hit him with, and if the sapling had a beehive they would sting the BG just like in cartoons. That would be very tactical.
I carry a multitool because it is not a weapon but strictly a tool, never get a hassle about it.
Take care and stay safe,
Chad

I've tried this with the buck tool I carry. The way the handles split apart and having a blade in each handle and they lock, it could be used as a weapon.

Can't recall the title or actor but wasn't there a film with a character who used his pliers to grab people's noses? :D

In the film Blade, the villain uses the Gerber Multiplier's Deadly Gravity-Opening Pliers to yank out a fellow vampire's fangs.

C'mon guys, quit pickin' on Toro. He's right about the Swiss tool's "hidden" ablity as a weapon. I own
own one too. I don't carry it any more because the pliers never seemed to fit anything . Maybe their
metric only. Anyway, the swiss are famous for clever tool design. Often with hidden features. The
Swiss tool is no exception. I did a slash test on straw filled old jeans with both blades open and I gotta'
tell you this thing is wicked. Can't say that about my Supertool. But then I use it as a tool. Would
I use a pocket tool of anykind as a weapon? You bet....... if I had to.

I own one of them, and the weight seems like it would be a negative factor for the self defense aspect. Would probably make it harder to handle.
