Swisstool RS Pliers

Hi All,

I recently purchased a new SwissTool RS. The pliers on the RS pivot without any resistance. I've used several Leatherman multi-tools, and there's resistance in the pliers pivot (i.e., I can open the pliers half-way and the pliers will stay fixed in that position). Having never handled a SwissTool until now, I was wondering if what I'm observing is expected from the tool.

I would call that normal... at least my swisstool does the same thing, silky smooth.

I've had two swisstools and two swisstoool spirits, on every model the pliers opened and closed with no resistance (silky smooth!). My technique when using the plier function of these tools is to hold the top handle with my thumb and index finger and the bottom with my remaining three fingers, rather than all four as would be the case with any pliers with a spring.
