I'm looking into getting a Swisstool Spirit (or maybe the Spirit S, haven't decided) and i'm wondering, looking at the scissors, they don't appear to have the funky spring. Did Vic redeisgn the scissors on these?

They did indeed. They are more like the Wenger scissor springs, however the design on these limits how far they can open and this has been an issue for some.

The scissors are fine, to be honest I would recommend you the Spirit, because I found the scissors very useful:thumbup:

Yes the scissors is very good. Just does not open real big. But cuts rerally well. I guess by looking at it you would not be impressed. After you use it you will be.

My Spirit is my usual edc and my favorite of the multi tools I have. I took the serrations off the sheepsfoot knife blade so that I could have a plain edge. If the Spirit S retained the scissors and ditched the serrated sheepsfoot, I'd get one. I consider a scissors a must-have implement.

I like the serrated blade on the Spirit and find it useful to have a different type of blade that complements whichever SAK I pair with it.

But I do agree: scissors are a must.
