swisstool x or spirit x?

Swisstool X
Pliers
Screwdriver (5mm)
Screwdriver (7.5 mm)
Wire crimper
Ruler (9 inches)
Ruler (230mm)

Spirit X
Needle nose pliers
Screwdriver (6 mm)
Isolation length cutter
Multi-purpose hook
Coupling for corkscrew

These are the differences. I have the Spirit X and I'm loving it. But I do wanna get a Swisstool X as well just for some harder use where I'm not too thrilled to risk the Spirit (some really heavy duty stuff)

They are both excellent MTs. However, the big difference is weight. The SwissTool is a heavy duty tool and the Spirit is a full sized medium duty tool. If it's going in a B.O.B or glove box the Swisstool is for you, but, if it's going to be worn on the belt the Spirit is what you want. The Spirit is lighter, more ergonomic, has a better lockup for implements, and is just a more refined SwissTool.

Spirit X , 98 % 0f the capability , tighter package , better Ergos , easier to carry .

I like the spirit for its good looking shape and its weight/size but as most of you said I would choose the Swisstool for heavier duty tasks

Spirit...the sexiest looking multi-tool on the face of the earth no doubt.

I've had an original Swisstool since about 10 years ago, and the quality is fine, but for me it's not as comfortable as my Spirit. Sorry, I forgot which version my Spirit is called; it's the one with the standard spear point blade in place of the scissors. This Spirit is my favorite multi; it's perfect for me and I carry it every day.

I sometimes have trouble pulling out the tools on the original Swisstool, and there is play when the tools are locked. Also, I have to be careful closing the saw, because it's slightly bent and can close teeth-first into part of the handle.

I find the Spirit is more user-friendly for myself, and the bow-shaped handles are a help in that. I can access all the tools easily. Also, all of the tools lock solidly w/out any play. My Spirit seems to have a higher level of precision than my Swisstool. And the medium size is just right, IMO.
