Switch out washers to copper?

Has anyone switched out the factory plastic washers for copper or other?

Why, there is no performace advantge and the nylatron's are smoother.

I've done it on a few knives, it does seem to be a bit smoother but i'm not sure if that just because I just want it to be or not
I have also never found PB washers that fit the pivot out of the box, I have always had to doctor them by making the hole bigger.
The knives I carry now have all been swapped back to the nylon/teflon washers apart from 2 though, a mini 7 and a Persian.

i too swapped one out to bronze and ended up going back to the originals.

obviously i would say stick with the nytrolons lol.
