Switch scales on a folder...

Hi,

Does anybody ever switched the scales of a folder, like the Chinook or BM806 ?

I was thinking, it would be great to have a wood, or ivory scale instead of G-10 on these folders... :p :p

Not that I don't like G-10 (I like it a lot) but since I have lots of G-10 folders, including more than one Chinook and BM806, it would be very nice. :D It will look like a "customized" folder....

Taking the handles off of most production folders voids the warranty, but then hell I rip the tags of mattresses.

Oh in answer to your question, yes, and I've also made custom handles for some knives.

Go for it! ive done it many times. Just make sure when you take the scales off they are intact. That way you have a pattern to use, or reference (if you want to change anything).
