I read here recently that the Manix had switched to PB washers and was wondering if this is true. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Thanks for the info.

I think PB stands for phosphure bronze. I hear Spyderco's using them on the knives now instead of the nylon washers.

PB = phosphoris bronze. is this true. Who can verify. Does anybody have a modle with the new washers?

Sal has said this with regards to the ParaMilitary

Early models used a nylon type washer (Capton). Later pieces are using a phosphure bronze washer.

I don't remember anything about the Manix.

As of last month's Manixes, as far as I know, they were still the ultra-thin Teflon washers.

Sal,

Ahhh... very good news. That was one thing that really bothered me about my Manix (and ultimately made me trade up for another knife.)

Can Spydercos with non-PB washers be upgraded to PB?

Thanks,

YEEHAW!

Will they be big enough in the G10 models to eliminate the scush-scush when opening?

I didn't seem to get along with those mylar ones.

Sal, can they be retrofitted to my non pb Manix??

Check. Cool. I saw "Pb" & thought 'Lead'- knew that couldn't be right.
