balisongs aren't switchblades, right. i hear people calling them switchblades and was just wondering.

It depends on who you ask. Legally, in many states, balisongs ARE switchblades. According to US Customs regulations, balisongs ARE switchblades. But, they are NOT switchblades according to the US Federal Switchblade act. I know, this seems illogical, but it's the way it is.

YUP...YUP!! Listen to "Dr. G"...US Customs does consider Balis a "switchblade" no matter what logic may suggest? Never really figured that out, but then again lets celebrate the fact that the Customs folks don't design ABS Brakes!
