Switching from bearings to washers, any considerations? Even a good idea?

I bought a pack of washers with my last Skiff order, that are sized to replace bearings. I am interested in trying them in lieu of washers, but are there any considerations I should think about? Is it even a good idea? I'm wondering how big of a deal it is installing them into a knife that already has bearing tracks cut into the blade. I know pb washers are allegedly self lubricating, so just clean the surfaces and leave it alone? I was thinking of installing them in my We Trogon since the blade is on the heavier side in my collection and I that would lend itself well to washers

I put a little dab of grease in the action on both sides whenever I open up washer action knives LG, CRK, SHF etc. I use tw25

Shouldn't be an issue. Hinderers come with PB and PTFE washers while they have bearings installed from the factory. I wouldn't say PB is self lubricating, not in the way PTFE is, some KPL/Nano Oil or w/e lubricant you use usually should do the trick. Make sure to apply it only to the side that's facing the blade, and as they say "less is more". It's gonna take a bit longer for the washers to work themselves in than bearings. I wouldn't put grease in there, CRKs are the only knives I have where grease works better, but they also have perforated washers that serve as grease pockets, on other knives the grease works itself out rather quickly and makes a sticky mess around the pivot as it gathers pocket lint like a magnet.
