So im a newer maker and so far ive just used my 2x72 (220 grit) and a home made leather strop to sharpen. It works but im just not that happy with it. I just cant get it as sharp as i want.
So i picked up a fallkniven CC4 ceramic wetstone for finer in between work. But im curious what yall use to set the micro bevel? Thinking a corse/fine DMT or the cheaper eflolife 300/1000grit dmt (trend knockoff but looks identical) im just using 80crv2 right now but ill probably expand to more snazzy steels and mainly make edc knives.
Thanks in advance for the help

valk, your equipment sounds good. And I'm glad you are moving in the area of bench stones as they allow you to tune little areas of a blade
that belts are over kill with. After your belt the coarse/ fine DMT is good. They will take you a long way and pull up your level of craftsmanship.
I usually don't take a edge any finer but should you want to work it finer you have a ceramic stone in reserve. I would think try to camp there
for a year and decide along the way if you need something else. Good luck, DM
