Switching out handle scale on the ZT 0550

My son just gave me a ZT 0550 with the basic black g10 scale. I will replace it with a Krytoglow scale. I've never changed a scale, looks pretty easy, but do I have to take out the pivot screw to do this? If so, looks like I'll need to take out 4 screws total to do the change. Any advice would be appreciated.
