I have used 0-1 for all my knives but because of cost considerations I am gonna start using 1095. I read on Engnaths site and also was told by Bruce Evans, that 1095 is darn good steel. But Engnath says that 1095 will wear belts faster. So my question is; How much harder will 1095 be to work with compared to 0-1? I like the "grind like hot butter" feel that 0-1 gives me. Will 1095 be alot tougher to shape?

Vaquero57,I think you will find them very similar but 1095 tends to rust a bit quicker due to a lack of chromium.I use both and am very satisfied with the performance and workability.Dave
