hand, that is.

Hi guys. Our house in NC closed today, so now I can payoff the remaining debt, and be free and clear soon, Lord willing.

We are all well, but I have been having trouble with tendinitis in my right arm/elbow. Too much engraving time, too long in one arm position. I can't chop with my right arm right now.

Thankfully, I write left handed, and occasionally did fence a bit with the left hand. I can still shoot a rifle right handed, but it is difficult to stretch out for pistol shooting. I am practicing from both sides with my pellet rifle in our garage. Will have to train with the Khukuri on the left hand only for a while May need to engrave some left handed too. That will take a while.

A lot of engraving to do, to pay off the left over debt from the house. It was worth it, to stop the bleeding.

Just wanted to check in. I will still need to keep busy for a while. I keep a bit of a watch here though. That's how I snagged the Shop 1 from Fiddleback! I shouldn't have bought it, as I have debts to pay off, but it is a great knife. I feel guilty he had to sell it though. I'm glad the money is helping a fellow craftsman get further along. That is why I bought it really. The sweetness of the knife is just a bonus. Much nicer than the other BAS I owned. I sold it off. Just didn't suit me. Nothing at all wrong with it.

Boy, he put a great edge on that knife!

My best to you all,

Tom

Really good to see you here again Tom and please don't be a stranger as you're one of the really good guys and almost a three year Cantinanista!!!!! :D

Smoke sent up for your well being and healing!

Tom, best wishes for a pain free transition to your sinister side, and I hope the hand gets better.

I just missed that Shop 1 by dawdling; would have made a nice match to a couple of Shop 1 AK's that I have, but I'm glad you got it.

I snagged the Vim BAS Andy was selling instead, as it seems like a pretty handle on that knife.

Glad you are on track to get out of debt. I should be there in 30 years or so. :D

Hey Tom,
Good to see you posting again.:)

Sorry to hear about the arm/elbow.
Is there anything you can do for it other than rest?

I was happy to read your post. Not glad about your arm. Are there any therapist around you? Perhaps herbs and daily massages would help?

Good luck and keep in touch.

:)

Good luck with the switch Tom. We're selling our home too before the bleeding starts.

I was proud that you got the shop 1. And it gives me the willies every time you call me a craftsman. Though, its a stretch IMO.

Keep in touch bro!

Thanks guys.

I can still engrave everyday, but i am trying to as little else as possible with the dexter side.

Stretching is helping, and strangely, throwing a basebal seems to help too. More time with the kids!!

Hitting right handed hurts though. maybe I'll be a switch hitter, about 30 years too late!

Tom

Huh, and here I thought you were moving to California.

Take care of yourself, Tom. And if some things need to take a little longer, so be it.
