I have a brand new SwitchPlier, and it works well. Initially it seemed a bit "dry", but a bit of Remington lube fixed that.

When the plier jaws are closed into the handle, they are not centered within the cutout of the silver handle, but sit more to the side opposide the release button. Is this normal? Nothing seems bent, but since the jaws do not center in the handle, I thought I would ask.

P.S. - Love this tool! I hope I do not wear it out pressing the button...

Hey mksql,

The handle might have a tad of play or might be slightly off-center. As long has the tool cycles well, locks up, and closes firmly, it should be fine. If you feel it is too much or if it's not operating properly, you can be assured we'll take great care of you!

It IS a fun tool, isn't it? Very addictive. We need a SOG SA (SwichPlier Anonymous) support group ! ;)

Have I shown you my one-of-a-kind Gold TiNi SwitchPlier?

Mksql,
Mine does the same thing. I am concerned about button wear on mine too.

If you care to void your warranty, Bodycote will do the coating, same as Ron's. I've had some stuff done by them, they did a FINE job, at a very reasonable price.

Ron is as bad as I am... constantly re-posting pictures of his toys!!!

I may send mine in for BC coating over chromium to give a black chome effect (like my Ti Vision) - that would be cool!!!
