switchplier clone???

I saw in smokey mountain knife works catalog a Stanley automatic multitool - is this a licenced copy of your switchpliers?

The $9.99 price is tempting, but I don't want to support clones unless they are legal.
 
Wow, I just looked it up...:eek: It looks a LOT like the SOG, but the locking mechanism is missing, and it is just a little different...:cool:
I'll have to check with SOG's legal department on this one... thanks for the heads-up. It may well be licensed, I don't know.:confused:

OK... the SCOOP...
It IS licensed by SOG, but made in China, with non-locking tools, and... oh... it's about 1/3 size...???
Or so I am led to believe...;)

It's a keychain tool...??? I'll have to look at that again, because it didn't look that small in the pic...
