I am on my second switchplier. The first one broke when I tried to squeese a nut. I sent it back to A.G.Russell and they sent me a new one. The first time I tried to use this one I felt something give in the handle. I was cutting a piece ot 14g thnn. What use is it, if you can't use it.

Hi Cutty,

Boy, I wish I had a good answer for you, but I don't. I've only talked with one other person who has broken two SwitchPliers and he admitted to using the tool beyond its designed purpose. It doesn't sound like that is the case with you.

It sounds to me like it might just be a fluke. I know A.G. Russell will take great care of you (as is their custom), or you may certainly deal directly with the great people in our warranty department.

We've done tons of in-house testing on this tool, and in real-world conditions for scenarios in what the SwitchPlier can be expected to endure, it has not been failing at the hands of SOG's strongest evaluators.

If there is anything I can do for you, please contact me directly via email, or give me a call at (888) SOG BEST, ext. 228.
