Swivel Arm or not?

I'm finishing up my grinder and I am thinking about putting a swivel arm on it.
I have already ordered a 10'' wheel and a 2 inch wheel. I have a 8'' ceramic platen liner already.

Just wondering what you guys think, should I:
1. make a flat platen and 10" wheel on separate arms (platen is 8")?
2. make a swivel arm using a 6" platen?

I don’t want to half-ass this but with a swivel arm I can skip out on buying another $45 wheel.(flat platen takes 2 while the swivel arm has 1 plus the contact wheel)

My concern being, is a 6" platen enough? Am I overlooking anything?

I've got several attachments for my KMG, the one I don't have and most want is a swivel arm. Don't forget that a swivel arm also gives you a slack belt setup when you swivel it completely around. This is very useful for handles, esp. with 1" belts (and the main reason I want a swivel).
