OK . So first I wanted to carry the BK14 on my belt so I added 2 bike-tube bands and some paracord in a way I saw here on several posts .
Then it felt clumsy for me to put it on/change the carrying method - you know , taking of the belt etc. So I figured out I needed another solution . My eyes rested on my speck iphone holster , and some mouse clicks later I bought a phone belt holster for about 2$ from a well-known bidding site . I chose a holster for an LG model because it looked pretty narrow , and also because it was cheap .
When the holster came , I quickly shaved off it's protruding parts to have a flat piece of plastic with the swivel belt clip attached . Inserted it into the paracord and secured the whole thing with 2 tube bands so it hardly moves .
I can wear it any way I want with ease , or can remove it altogether in seconds in case I want to use just the paracord and the original tube band , in case I need it sitting securely on my belt . I don't think this solution will do with heavier knives (although phones weigh probably more then the BK14 )
I guess you can call it poor man's tactical-belt-thingy-that-I-can't-remember-it's-name
