I am excited to announce that I have posted the finished sword and dagger blades that I have been working on on my blog. If you go to my website and click on the Josh Smith's Blog button you will find the information and photos of the blades. I would like to hear what you think. Thanks,

Josh

If I didn't mention it at your house.... YOU ARE INSANE!!!

But in a good way... Freak show

Holy moly! Those blades are off the hook! And the walrus ivory Reno bowie is nothing to sneeze at, either.

I was stunned at these. The enormity of the sword blade and the complexity of the pattern and structure is really testimony of what 'Mastersmith' quality is capable of. More importantly, what Josh Smith is capable of!

The spine on that dagger is too cool, but what is even cooler is how thin he made the blade. Evil. ;)

Fit for royalty. Looking forward to the final results. It will be nothing less than museum quality.

Josh,

That's beyond amazing. I don't know if you made a lot of pictures of the proces but a tutorial on these two (sword and dagger) would be very interesting indeed.

I know there is a saying that states that best is the enemy of good but in this case that doesn't apply. So keep up the best work.:thumbup:

I'd love to see a smaller pic, maybe 1000 pixels in their largest dimension. In any case, it looks amazing.

Thanks for the compliments. Joss, I'm confused as to why the images come up so big. When I put them up you could click on them and they'd show in a reasonable size. But now they are huge. I will figure this out when I get home from Reno. I am leaving in the morning at 6a.m and have some last minute things I have to do.

As far as some pics and an explanation of the process I'll see what I can do. I'm not quite as good as Nick at taking in progress photos, though it is a good idea.

Thanks again.

The link is to my full-resolution shots that I provided Josh. (Josh: There are others I provided that are 900-pixels wide.)

Let me help this process and let our members not have to dig so deep:

Very impressive! I can't help but wonder how they will look when the handles are completed.

That is incredible work. Great photos too.
