Sword and long blade sharpening using kme system?

I have a question for those that sharpen their Busse blades using the KME. Is it possible to sharpen really long knives and swords using the KME?

It is possible but if you just clamp it once the edge angle might differ a bit and will get more acute the further away from the clamp you sharpen.
I experienced that issue with the early Wicked Edge Systems.

I think people have reported that they sharpen long blades section by section.

Section by section would seem the only way, but I fear the correct edge would not be accurately blended and seamless. I was wondering if there was a special technique that I have missed?

If you do enough small sections it will blend in fine. But I would not have the patience and rather use my WorkSharp

Section by section to keep the arcs as short as possible; short sections; sections marked equally on both sides with pen marker.

I was looking at the KME axe sharpening jig was thinking it could be used a little like an edge pro being able to move it along the length of the blade.

I used a Harbor Freight 1x30 belt grinder to reprofile my Waki. And pretty much everything else.
