Here is a link to view the knife: http://www.usyetzer.com/camillus.html

Hey fellas, I found this knife in a box of my dad's. I'm just wondering if its a useable knife, show knife, valuable knife...anything at all?

It looks like it has some sort of finish that I don't want to make worse, but I'm not sure what to use to clean it up either.

If anyone knows anything about this knife, please let me know! Thanks in advance for any info.

That is a dressed up, slightly modified civilian version of the Marine F-U knife("Ka-Bar"). Sword brand was Camillus's permium line, it would've sold for a couple of bucks more than the regular version.

It's a relatively new knife, and in perfect shape sells for $50-75. Yours would be around $35, give or take a bit. It would make a good using knife, and if it were mine, I'd use it and enjoy. As for caring for it, just wipe the blade down with mineral oil.

:).

Thanks for the reply. Since you mention it being a good using knife, would you use conventional sharpening methods on the steel is it made with? Steel/Stone/Strop?

Yes, the base steel was 1095, so it should sharpen like a regular knife. I forget if these were mirror polished or plated, so just be a little careful when sharpening.
