I live in the Southeast, halfway between Memphis and Birmingham to be more precise.

I would love to find a shop that had some swords for sale I could see.

Especially Katanas.

I don’t mind driving several hours to find something.

So far I haven’t found anything.

Anyone know of anywhere?

Kult of Athena, in Chicago. Museum Replicas, outside Atlanta. Those are two large brick&mortar. Look for vendor list names for local Ren raires.

Run state/local yellow page searches for swords.

There are some lists on SBG and a dedicated Japanese section for katana,

Oh ya, Smoky Mountain Knife Works. Generally look at big box sporting shops.
 
Id advise going to the Sword Buyers Guide first and reading a bit so you don't buy a wall hanger. I assume you want a real sword.
 
It depends on what you are looking for. Looking for genuine Japanese swords, I can help. Looking for reproductions, I can not.
