Go back a year or so earlier and there is the fellow defeating villiians on a train by using a khukri.
Aren't all martial arts bouts with swords more or less "ceremonial" sword fights?
Mensur practiced to this day with intent to draw blood. So, I would say probably as recently as the past few hours. Newer than the Sikh news byte.
