I took an order for a couple of swords, that then turned into an order for eight. They’re more of a hunting sword length, 22 inch blades or so, going to be 28ish overall, with fairly simple D guards.

I did not really have the forge set up to heat treat such a long blade, so I built an extension to go on top of my regular Forge. Spiral duct with 2” kaowool with a coat of satanite. By not increasing my burner capacity, the whole entire system gets fairly evenly heated at about the range I want for hardening.

Here’s a video of one of the quenches. I did nine yesterday.
