sword laws in MA

Preface: I am not a lawyer.

As I understand the MA situation from talking to several dudes in the Boston Chesapeake Knife place, you have to be 18. Once I turned 18 they happily sold me a real (Carbon steel, fully tempered, very sharp, 4 foot long) sword. No license required. I even carried it (in a box) home on the subway. Nor have I had a problem ordering online.

Good luck and please don't do anything stupid like carrying a live sword in public.
