Sword Laws in Maine

Hey, I live in Maine , US.
I am wondering what the laws on carrying swords are. I’m pretty sure you can’t. But if anyone knows the specifics, please answer here. Also to mention. The sword has a sheath, and I have a shoulder bag for it.

While a sword likely would be considered an "other dangerous or deadly weapon usually employed in the attack on or defense of a person," under Maine's weapon law, the statute only imposes restrictions on such weapons when they are carried concealed or when they displayed "in a threatening manner." Mere open carry alone, absent proof of threatening behavior, would not be illegal unless prohibited by county or city ordinance.
