Sword Repair/Replacement?

I have one of these http://kultofathena.com/product.asp?item=SH2003

I'm dumb, and I've damaged it in several ways. The tip is slightly damaged cause I missed my cutting stand and hit a wire fence, part of the edge is damaged for a similar reason, and the entire edge was sharpened (badly) in an attempt to fix it. It also has a very very slight bend down the whole of the blade, leaning slightly to the right.

Yeah, I'm not great with this stuff. The edge and tip damage was largely because I've never handled a 3 pound one handed sword before, so I wasn't used to the momentum.

I've gone through the motions and emailed Kult of Athena and Hanwei separately, neither of them have any way to send me a replacement blade. Are there people that would fix it, and is it even worth it? Should I just try to sell it for like half price? I get sad just looking at it.

Advice?

There are some who do repair on this forum, but I have no first hand expierience with them yet. If you really like the sword get it repaired but for that price I'd probably get another and keep the damaged one as my beater and sharpening practice.

Some pics of the damage would be welcome. Good Luck!

You might be able to get a replacement blade from somewhere like American Fencers Supply that would be "close enough" in length, width, and weight to fit the hilt. The tang would probably require some work to fit it to the hilt, so depending on how handy you are...and of course you'd have to sharpen the blade. Or you could just donate the sword to the closest theater that's about to produce "Brigadoon"

My suggestion would be to get in touch with someone from your local SCA (society of creative anachronism) to see if there is a bladesmith near you. Its already a user, so you could have them try to straighten and sharpen it, and that way you can keep beating on it. I would think its worth asking about fixing it up, you can always turn down a quote if its not to your liking.
