I am a new member to Bladeforum and this is my first post. This is an interesting place! Does anyone have any information on the SX23 Fixed Blade Bladger. I saw one in a Schrade price guide (2003 or 2004?) and it had Ireland marked on the blade. It was not an actual photo but a drawn print. However, I've been told these knives were made only in China. I have the SX4 folder and it is made in Ireland. I need one to finish my Schrade cabinet. The cabinet has three panels and the first two panels have 10-12 knives all made in USA. An American flag is on these two panels.
The third panel has no American flag and that's where my 2 Apex Ireland and
the SX4 folding badger knives are located. I don't want to buy China but if that is where they are made I guess I'll have to. Thanks for any assistance.

Larry,
Welcome to the forum, Always good to have another Larry around.
You'll have to post a picture of the cabinet.
I'm sure we can find something on your Irish Badgers.

Thanks for the welcome...and the offer of friendship. It will take me a while to navigate
and learn my way around but I've enjoyed it. Actually, I prefer the traditional folder and fixed blade knives. I have a friend who works for a Farm Supply Store and they had
a nice Schrade 100th Anniver cabinet (about 4feet tall) that was collecting cobwebs and dirt. I asked if I could have it...they said sure. It had 2 keys and 3 Red panels with about 9-13 knives to each panel. Of course, the knives were gone but I had
some of them and now I have all of them but the SX23 Schrade Badger (and its as ugly as sin and one I would not normally buy). The American flag is on the top two panels but there is no flag on the bottom third panel. There are four knives not made in the USA in the panel w/o the flag. I'm assuming that's why there is no flag on it. That third panel is where the Badger is located. I saw a print of it with the Ireland tang stamp but I can't find one. Plenty of them from China but not Ireland.

I have enjoyed collecting knives for years...the last few years especially. I have a nice collection of the standard knives. 50-60 Schrade usa/ 45-50 Case XX/ Buck, Boker,Camillus, Fighting Bulldogs & Roosters, ETC. The majority is either NIB or Mint.
Thanks again for the reply...any help would be appreciated. (As soon as I figure out how to post the picture of the display I will)
