Hey guys, new here, glad to have found a place to discuss my newest hobby(obsession.) I've been looking at getting the Tops Skullcrusher and was wondering if anyone who has it feels it was worth the price. It'll be the most expensive knife I've bought until WTG gets the Ares back in stock. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I had one years ago. It’s big and well-built. The grip can get a little uncomfortable in the hand after long periods of use but not horribly so. Although I liked it , I had little use for such a blade aside from a camping trip 2 or 3 times a year. I have found that a smaller fixed blade serves my purposes better these days. TOPS makes good stuff.

This covers it well.
I have one and although I like it I find myself reaching for my Swamprat Mega Ratweiler or my Wander Tactical Godfather if I need a bigger knife.
I don’t think you’d regret the purchase as it’s a very cool and very useful blade.
If you do decide to get the Skull Crusher I’d recommend an aftermarket kydex sheath.

I agree about the sheath. The Cordura one is okay but Kydex would be a nice upgrade. I do love the shape of the blade. Totally badass but not the most practical (for me).

The Prather war Bowie and the Longhorn Bowie are excellent designs. Also check out the Dart and the original Silent Hero. The one that I personally use the most is the Alaskan Harpoon. IMO the most functional one is made by Tops but is designed by and branded for TKC/Architect is the Field Buddy 6.5. One of if not THE most functional knife Tops ever built IMO. I've got one and if you're looking for a bruiser with a lot of chopping potential that can also cut pretty good for its size and thickness then I think you'll be pleased. It's got a "better" factory grind and relief edge to it than the Tops T1 Tracker so it comes out the box a better cutter IMO.
Is it worth the price? Totally an individual question but prices seem to vary quite a bit for so many knives these days depending where you buy from, shipping costs, etc. Search around and you may find they're not all priced the same at all dealers.

Wrote a post on your profile asking your opinion of the Wander Tactical Godfather and their D2...thanks!
