Had a spare minute at work and thought I'd see what's under the wonderful res-c handles in a couple Bussekin blades. As I thought, nothing but beefy full tangness. Gotta live knives built to be used!

Taliwhacker.

And for a bonus, a NON Bussekin which I will not name, but may be easily identified.

Isn't that called narrow tang or rat tail tang ? It's not what I'd call a full tang. Is the last one a street beat ?

Well, I guess since the tang extends all the way to the end of the handle I'd call it full. It's not exposed like most Busse blades.

And you're close.

Interesting the Taliwhacker has the barbed tang. Nice pics.

I'm pretty sure that the 1311 has the barbs going on too, I noticed some bulges in the res-c in those areas. I was wondering about this since I hadn't seen it before, I'm guessing since they are both 3/16" it is to help the handle stay secure on the thinner stock.

Really neat pics. I can't imagine the things I would x-ray if I have a machine handy.

If you have barbs on your Tali Whacker you need to get some medical attention asap

So cool!!! It's good to see a solid hidden tang. I love the fact that Busse don't use 90deg corners too. No weak spots in these knives!

Very interesting! I'd X-ray anything and everything I could get my hands on if I had a machine like that handy.

I would probably X-Ray as many things as I could if I had an X-Ray machine. Awesome pictures.
