Now that Madden is all healed up, we've headed up to the farm this weekend to catch up after a far too long hiatus. This year we have corn, green beans, cucumber, squash, apples, cantaloupe, garlic, blueberries, muscadines, chickens and some pork.

Need to dedicate a whole other thread to this knife because of how awesome it is, but wanted to showcase the Sylverfalcen as one of the best EDU knives around.

Give Madden a empty bucket and have him go get me some maters & corn..hahahaha

Well, you have 12 days, 4 hours, 28 minutes and 13 seconds to find out. Hope you have the date branded on your calendar. [emoji1303]

That's just a super place Justen. My idea of heaven.

Great to see Madden all healed up and having fun.

Call me when the bacon cures....

Great pics, awesome location and so good to see Madden out smiling and enjoying himself

Awesome!! Cool knife. Sometimes, for whatever reason, I cover up parts of knives to see what they would look like. This time I covered up the top point and swedge, I feel like that would make a sexy little EDC knife, though admittedly with less character.

I'd love to have a place like that!

Great post!! Love the farm. They are going to have to turn out some more silver falcons after this post!!

:thumbup:Great post JC! Glad to see Madden is doing well. Your farm looks like a wonderful place to get away and relax.

How do you have the time to manage this??? It is a beautiful piece of property. I hope to see it very soon!!!

It's a group effort. We have a local landscaping company that comes in weekly to cut the grass and tidy up the property. My Mom spends a couple of weekends a month up there digging in the dirt and I have other family that lives in and around Hiawassee full time and they are there every other day or two doing something. What you don't see in the picture is my uncle's honey refinery, which has him come by the property most days. He has hundreds of hives, but there are 15-20 I believe on the property, which helps considerably with the quality of the produce and flowers on the farm. There is always something to do up there, but once well established, the upkeep isn't as bad as you would think. Plans are all set for the next time up, so let me know and I'll scoop you up on my way north.

That's so cool! My end goal is to have something like that set up here in Colorado. Decent little house, big shop with a processing kitchen, barn to keep the GF/wife (at some point) happy, lots of land for gardens, livestock, etc. Bees would be awesome as well.
