I was lucky enough to snag the Tuxedo Sylverfalcen during today's Friday sale... The profile looks cool and I'm thinking it'll be a great little ECD.
Anyone know the story behind the three Sylverfalcens from today's sale?

I dig 'em. My interpretation anyway is that it's interesting to see what appear to be nessmuk family knives with clip points, since the original nessmuk pattern is thought to be based on a classic skinner with the end taken off, so it's a taken-down version of a taken-down version of a dedicated skinner.

Yeah ... kinda .. I saw one of them in person on Tuesday. Andy told me later they were 'one off reshapes' of regular patterns that he did on purpose - which I get it. Expressing your creative mind kind of thing. The patterns started off as a Stubbymuk and two Minimuks.

Bud, Do you think one of your existing sheath designs would fit that Tuxedo Sylverfalcen? If so, I'll watch your sale thread for one. I just got your ISP for my recently acquired Palmer today ...perfect fit, great pocket retention..love it!

Not sure .. I'll have to do some test fitting of a Minimuk. I'm out a the Academy all next week so I wont have much leather time til after the 7th.

While visiting the shop yesterday I learned from one of the crew that the Sylverfalcen was a tribute to an individual that Andy considered a mentor. I'm sure Andy can fill in more of the details on this inquiry.

Thanks for all the info, guys! Makes me even more excited about getting the Sylverfalcen!

I was lucky enough to shark on of those Sylverfalcen one-off's also. Can't wait to get it. It looked to me as sort of a stubbymuk cross with a Bow Legged Joe. I like both of those designs and think the Sylverfalcen will be useful in my EDC lineup. It has the blade sweep of the muk with a clip point of the Joe. I'll probably name mine Joe Muk! Lol!

I currently carry a StubbyMuk in a Joufuu ISP and I find it to be a great EDC...it also always gets comments when I pull it out to cut a rope or open a box.
The Sylverfalcen, I predict, will be even more utilitarian with it's clip point. Most excited about it!
