Sir;

I wanted to thank you for your efforts at posting the Symposium on your web page. I have talked with Eric Elson about teaming up and perhaps next year a couple of Ontarians will try to be in attendance (just to give the place a little Eastern flavour

).

Your website was very clear on all the good parts I missed and and that anvil tossing thing looks kind of fun! By the way, what's the weight so I can practice throwing furniture of the same approximate weight?

Thanks Again!!

All the Best

Hi Dav! The anvil was 11 pounds. Practising with a small dog or large cat should suffice

You easterners should give some thought to coming out next year. Not only would you learn much about knifemaking, but you would also experience the wonders of being able to see at night (electric-lighting ) and being warm all the time (an abundance of natural gas)

Hugh;

Thanks for the invite and just for your information we can already see at night courtesy of the Hooch of choice (Screech, Aqua Velva, Old Spice (same thing)) and as far as staying warm, we just cuddle up to Mom and Dad (or big sister and big brother depending on the time of day and which way the wind is blowing

).

By the way, I heard that if you really want to impress a girl in Calgary all you have to do is talk about how she looks; something like "Nice tooth!!" might be appropriate or "When does your hair start growing back?"

There is a lot of great people there most of which have not been mentioned here. Dav you and Brian can discuse Scottish blades for hours and I know that no one will interupt yous.
