Symptoms of the 'Buck disease'...

I guess we all experience these - they can be horrific, indeed.

I retired some time back - then started my arts show schedule in earnest, losing a bundle in the next 6.5yr. Well, a huge loss later, and I was out of that. Several years later, after electing to pay for my mistakes, I was still in the hole on that endeavor - so last year found me getting an equity line on my paid-for home to pay my folly off. Everything was finally paid for - except, once again, my house.

My income has been fixed for some time - my costs have risen, of course - gas, food, custom shop Bucks, Smith and Wesson revolvers, etc. I am living the life I heard senior citizens complain of in my youth. It hit home... if I don't pay this equity line off, I could lose my home? What to do?

Well, I ordered another G10/Micarta BG-42 BCCI 110, of course. Regrets? You bet! I should have ordered two more (Hey, I already had one!). Since it was ole Pete M. who took my order, I should have ordered another custom shop 110, too! Next time! Yeah, it's on my plastic - but I pay that off every month... it just means a little less for the bank... they'll understand... won't they? That 895 'Raven' is alluring, too. Hmmm, maybe I can get a 'bailout'?

Aw, my wife is young... and Taco Bell pays a late-shift premium... I'd take that Wally World greeter job, but they won't let me carry my Buck, much less my S&W...

So, what are your symptoms??

Hiding the credit card bill...Catching the mailman 1/2 block from the house...Buying Bucks for presents that they neaver recive...NEAVER using speaker phone when chating with Buck buddies..Buying the wife a Buck...Trading ALL of your toys for Buck bucks...Iv'e heard of all these things....

That's an idea - their 'Complaint Department'... lots of overtime, too. Hmmm, first change - get one of those 'Take a Number' plaques - with a practice hand grenade and the No. 1 tied to the safety pin. Naw, Homeland Security would get me, especially if it offended an illegal alien.

So, Bucksway, I see you have such experience, er, knowledge, yeah, that's the ticket! Great ideas... keep them coming...

One friend suggested selling a few of my wife's less favorite house-bound cats to the local Chineese restaurant. I think I've had their 'kung pao meow'...

Thanks for the ideas.

I made up personal business (or in my case non-business) cards that didn't say anything sports team, cute or wise, only .

COLLECTS BUCK 300 SERIES POCKETKNIVES

Gets right to the point, and you never know!!.......300$s

Hee hee hee ,,,
bussiness cards! i had not thought of that one!
at the big flea markets i have a plackard i hold that says
"got buck knife ? "
as i walk around ...
some times i have it taped on my hat!
dont laffffffff it works!
seen this idea in use at the carlisle, pa auto show and sale..

I have started wearing Buck apparel, such as T-shirts and my Buck hat. For those that don't have any, the products are well made and look great, just like Buck knives. :)

I came up with another one, after reading a recent email on a bow hunter attacked by a grizzly in WY, his dad made a miracle bow shot and killed the bear. MY first reaction was Holy crap, I gotta get a 120.....300Bucks

"is that a 110 ?"
"no, its a limited edition bone and leather 119 and is rare!"
"honey, dont you tell every one you only collect 110's?":o
"Oh, its jest an investment honey, it will do better then the stock market!":)
"that is good to know that you wont be keeping it then, right dear"

The PRC made knives at the flea markets will do better than the stock market!

Yeah, Jennifer Love Hewitt could be doing another Hanes bra commercial - leave a 110, 120, maybe a 124 on her dressing table... I'd never notice her... honest, dear...

Ah, that's a lie!

The two worst Symptoms of the 'Buck disease' I get.
1 I keep telling myself if I get this one I am absolutely positively going to use it and then never do. Just to tell myself the same thing when the next got to have it BUCK comes by.
2 Oh my dog really needs this BUCK.

334dave is correct! I lost a lot of money in the stock market, but my BUCK’s are true to the core and are like gold in the hand just more usable.
