Got my Liberty patterned, swept blade SpeedTech about three weeks ago. I looooove the sound it makes when that big ol' blade slams into the solid aluminum handle. It makes me all light headed and woozy, then I have to sit with a cool towel on my forehead until my heart slows down and I catch my breath! And if it hadn't been for all the Synergy-heads on this forum I'd just be a regular knife kind of guy. My wallet ain't too happy but my ego thanks you.

Yeah Mr. Dave, a Synergy will do that to you. I'm the proud owner of a Nandina swept blade Synergy, which I received right after the new year. It is one great knife. Once that income tax return comes in it might be time to get a tanto version

have a"knife"day

Just wait until six months from now after you have carried it clipped to your pocket everyday and that Liberty finish still looks as good at the day it arrived. The blade snap will still be there also. I still love my SpeedTech and I think you will like yours.

Greetings Synergy Owners, I just received Mine monday.OH-My!a truely super looking knife, with a very comfortable handle(fits like glove). The lock is bank dead bolt solid, reviews have said "strongest possibly in the industry". My Synergy is Nandina, black with green & yellow splashes.MTF3, thanks for the finish imput , I wondered how strong it was.I will not hesitate to carry it. Also I got the swept point, with stonewash blade finish. I also got the hub cap,to flash it up a bit. I believe excessive sweating is normal, when playing with the Synergy...Oh yes Drool..that too. LOL! Take All! Bill.

I have nandina swept blade. It wasn't an easy choice. I think all these cammo finishes were cool.

I am wondering how do you guys fit it in your "carry schedule". To me, mine Synergy is a "semi-dress-up" knife

.

Cheers,
Kris.

Is there photos of the various options that are listed on the 'build your own' page? I don't wnat to hit submit a design without even seeing what options (like six-hole or hubcap) I'm selecting.

jeegeet,

What do you mean semi-dress carry? These knives were meant to be used. Mine has been my everyday carry piece since I got it and will continue to be so until some other knife that can prove itself worthy comes along (which highly doubt will happen)

Am I the only one here who owns a Black Rose model?

My pewter swept-point is 2 weeks old today

and its been my daily carry all of its life. Everytime I take it out to use or look at, it still hasn't lost that NEW knife feeling
biggrin.gif
. It truly is a great lookin' worker

Mine's a dress carry too. I put it in the back pocket of my relaxed fit Levis on Saturday, covered it with an untucked flannel shirt, went to the Hole In the Wall bar, threw darts and drank beer. When the flannel came off, chicks swooned

Dave,

I lived in your area in the early 80's and spent some time in the Hole in the Wall. Back then, a Dalton Giant Cupid would have been a more suitable blade for that particular establishment

. Things must have calmed down a bit.

I'm the proud new owner of a green Synergy Slim, swept point. Great knife, all the reviews are true. Manufacturing QC rivals Chris Reeve. Of course I'll be needing the standard handle model with the tanto blade, and just to be different, I'll be getting black.

Mark, on my first trip to the Hole about 10 years ago, it wasn't five minutes before a fist fight broke out. The other patrons kept shooting pool like nothing unusual was happening. Things are calmer now. All those young bikers you remember are now old bikers.

Neil, they must have swooned at the knife. My physique and dart abilities are more likely to effect laughter than swoonage. Get your daughter's. Take it to Hooters.

Is the "Black Rose" (ie. Eddie Van Halen
wink.gif
) pattern commonly available? Didn't see it in the list of choices on SpeedTech's site so.......

Jailhack: Is that an available color? Last time I went to the Synergy site, the only multi-color was Nandina and RW&B. This is not special-order?

It's always darkest before the dawn. So if you plan to steal your neighbor's newspaper, that's the time to do it.
