Synthetic multi-purpose oil?

hey guys, just wondering is synthetic multi-purpose oil fine to use on pivots for knives?? Does the oil contain any acid or will it cause any acids or corrosion to occur? i have a 154cm blade with titanium handles. And how do i remove to oil from the pivots on a bm42 if i want to in the future? is their any type of solvent i can spray on to remove it? thanks

Dish soap and hot water should do the trick. I wouldn`t think it would harm the metal parts ,but that is why I use Benchmade "Blue Lube" works well easy to remove and has no smell.
