I have been told by the Spyderco factory that there were a few QC issues with a part on the Szabofly that needed resolving before they would release them. Projections seem to point to availability sometime in a month or two.

Ok well it isn't the answer I wanted but the news is appreciated. I really wish these would come out soon so I don't languish in regret for not buying one of those limited edition bm bowie balis. The szabo fly would sure take my mind off that;-)>

Spyderco could sell these with whatever unresolved quality issues still exist and make a fast buck, eh?

Spyderco remains, in my mind, the most adult and responsible of the knife manufacturers.
Quality and value at a working man's price.

I don't mind the wait.
